January 13-17: 10th Grade World Lit

This Week: This week we are going to wrap-up our mini-unit on rhetoric and speeches by practicing rhetorical appeals and a quiz on Wednesday. We will also kick off our weekly TEDTalk Tuesdays that will help us continue our discussion of rhetoric throughout the semester and will be the first stepping stone to prepare us for our unit on research in March. On Thursday, we will begin our first main unit with notes on Julius Caesar. We will also have our first vocab quiz of the semester on Friday, so make sure you are studying Unit 9 Vocab!

Monday, January 13:
  • Wrap up Greta speeches
  • Practice with Identifying and Using Rhetorical Techniques (appeals and devices)

Tuesday, January 14:

    • Bryan Stevenson - "We need to talk about an injustice"
