August 5-9: 10th Grade World Lit

This Week: This week, we will work on wrapping up summer reading, so please bring your copy of Lord of the Flies to class every day. Please note that the due date for summer reading assignments is Friday, August 9. Any assignments turned in after August 9 will be considered late. (If you enrolled later in the summer or this week, please send me an email and we can work something out.)

We will start Unit 1 Vocab next week, so make sure you have a Level E Vocab Book by this Friday. If you still need to purchase a vocab book, bring in $17 (exact cash or check made out to Lassiter High School).

• Due Thursday at the end of class

Thursday, August 8:

• Finish Lord of the Flies vs. The Simpsons worksheet
• Work on summer reading question, if not already turned in
• LotF vs. Simpsons worksheet DUE TODAY AT THE END OF CLASS

Friday, August 9:

• Summer Reading Assignment DUE
• Lord of the Flies Escape Room

Next week, we will finish summer reading with an essay assignment on Lord of the Flies. Please continue to bring your copy of the book to class every day. The Unit 1 Vocab Quiz will also be next week.
