September 10-14: 10th Grade World Lit

This Week: We will start off this week by continuing to read and analyze the last text in our Archetypes unit, Don Quixote, on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The Unit 3 Vocab Quiz will be on Thursday, and we will finish out the week with the into to the Hero's Journey Narrative Assignment on Friday.

Wednesday, September 12:

• Vocab Unit 3 Homework DUE
• Write 10 original sentences using 10 vocab words from Unit 3.
• Vocab Practice: Completing the Sentence
• Finish reading Don Quixote
• Comparing Don Quixote to traditional heroes

Thursday, September 13:

• Unit 3 Vocab Quiz

Friday, September 14:

• Intro Hero's Journey Narrative Assignment (DUE Friday, September 21)
• Start reviewing the notes you took on Heroes and Archetypes at the beginning of this unit. This is your study guide for the test. The note sheet and PowerPoint can be found here.

Next Week:

We will wrap up our Archetype Unit with a test on Tuesday and will spend the rest of the week working on drafting and writing original short stories.
