Harry and the rest of the first years have just arrived at Hogwarts. As Hagrid leads the way to the magical castle, the new students are brimming with excitement and nerves over the house they will be sorted into for the next seven years of their lives while they are in school at Hogwarts.
Today, as you read Chapter 7, we're going to see some of the emotions Harry is feeling and the thoughts that are going through his mind during the Sorting Ceremony. As you read, you're going to return back to the Reader Response lens from last week and think about how you would feel in the same situation.

- Complete the Reader Response Lens Form for Chapter 7
- Read the chapter slowly and deliberately and think about the questions above while reading.
