- Genre Piece 3 - Poem
**Please note: I will not be doing progress checks everyday, but I have broken the project down into manageable pieces that you should be able to complete the day they are assigned. It is in your best interest to stay on top of the assigned work and not leave the entire project for last minute.**
Today's Genre Piece:
- Poem: Write a poem that references an event/characters and/or feelings expressed in the play. Again, you’re referencing the play and this should be evident in your poem. This poem should at least 18 lines in length. It can be written in either 1st-person or 3rd-person. Some types of poems that you may do are:
- An "I am" Poem
- A rhyming couplet poem (when every two lines rhyme together)
- A free verse poem (that means your poem doesn't need to follow a set rhyme scheme)
- Include at least two different types of figurative language (similes, personification, hyperbole, onomatopoeia, metaphor, alliteration) in your poem.
**Remember: Each genre piece must reference specific characters, events/scenes, and at least two quotes from Romeo and Juliet.**
