September 30 - October 4: 9th Grade Lit and Comp

This Week: Welcome back from break! I hope you all got plenty of rest and are ready to dive back into the swing of things. This week, we will wrap up our short story unit (finally!) with a narrative assignment that is due this Friday.

As a reminder, next week, we will begin reading To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, so make sure you have a copy of the book in class with you starting Monday, October 7.

Monday, September 30:

• Short Story Narrative Assignment
• Go over instructions
• Begin brainstorming on Plot Diagram

Tuesday, October 1:

• Short Story Narrative Assignment
• 10 Rules of Dialogue
• Continue working on Plot Diagram and Rough Draft

• Homecoming Pep Rally!
• Short Story Narrative Assignment DUE TODAY AT END OF CLASS
• We will be in the Computer Lab (Room 930) today.
• Submit to turnitin.com
• Turn printed copy and completed Plot Chart in to Ms. Egbert by the end of class.

Next Week:

Next week, we start our unit on To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee and we will also work on Unit 4 Vocab.

• Monday, October 7: Have a copy of To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee in class.
