This Week: This week, we will work on wrapping up summer reading with an essay about Lord of the Flies, so please bring your copy of Lord of the Flies to class every day. We will start also Unit 1 Vocab next week, so make sure you have a Level E Vocab Book in class with you.

If you still need to purchase a vocab book, bring in $17 (exact cash or check made out to Lassiter High School) ASAP.

• Unit 1 Vocab: Choosing the Right Word

• Intro Paragraph and Evidence

Tuesday, August 13:

• Unit 1 Vocab: Completing the Sentence
• Lord of the Flies Essay
• Body Paragraphs

Wednesday, August 14:

• Unit 1 Vocab Books Due (Choosing the Right Word and Completing the Sentence)
• Lord of the Flies Essay
• Finish Body Paragraphs and Conclusion

Thursday, August 15:

• Lord of the Flies Essay
• Type essay - use MLA template

Friday, August 16:

• Unit 1 Vocab Quiz
• Finish typing Lord of the Flies essay
• Lord of the Flies Essay DUE TODAY at 11:59 PM
