This Week: This week we work on our essays for Fahrenheit 451. Please make sure to have your copy of the book with you in class EVERYDAY.  We will also start out next unit on nonfiction.

• Non-Fiction Unit

• "Redemption Through Reading"
• S.L.I.C.E. instructions - due Monday
• S - Summarize the main idea of the article (at least 3 sentences)
• L - List 3 important facts (specific details) from the article
• I - Inadequate Info - What's one idea that could have been explained more thoroughly
• C - Controversy - How might this story be controversial (cause disagreement)?
• E - Extra Info - What's one question about this story that you'd ask the author?
